This one honestly surprised me.
In less than 8 hours, I was able to build two full-featured websites — this one, and a completely separate dad joke site. Not prototypes. Not half-working demos. Real sites that actually work and look good.
So what changed?
Antigravity.
A Little Context
The last time I really put effort into my personal sites, I was getting back into Laravel development. And honestly, Laravel on its own is still amazing:
- Clean MVC structure
- Great ecosystem
- Blade templates
- Artisan CLI
But what really made the difference this time wasn’t just the framework — it was the workflow around it.
Antigravity Changed the Pace Completely
With Antigravity, everything snapped together in a way I haven’t experienced before:

- Command-line automation without friction
Instead of context switching between:

- Terminal

…I stayed in flow.
That alone cut hours off the process.
Where AI Really Entered the Picture
Google’s AI tooling is impressive, no doubt. But where things truly took off was pairing Antigravity with Anthropic’s Opus 4.5 — which, for now, is available with generous free usage.
That combination changed how I work:
- I could bounce layout and architecture ideas instantly
- Refactor without fear of breaking everything
- Iterate on UI and UX far faster than before
- Fix issues before they ever became “debug sessions”
My sites have never worked this smoothly, or looked this polished, this early in the process.
This Felt Different Than “Just Using AI”
This didn’t feel like:
- Letting AI write my site
- Giving up control
- Generating throwaway code
It felt like having a second brain that:
- Never gets tired
- Knows the ecosystem
- Helps me move forward instead of stalling
I was still designing, deciding, and building — just without the usual drag.
The Result
Two sites.
Less than 8 hours.
Cleaner code.
Better UX.
Far less frustration.
That’s not incremental improvement — that’s a step change.
